I love jumpsuits. Ok, let me rephrase. I love seeing others in jumpsuits. If I have to pick one clothing item that scares me (besides a bandage dress that just does not respect me and my food baby), it would definitely be a jumpsuit. I’m petite and curvy, so of course it’s nerve wracking. But being scared doesn’t mean I won’t wear it, it simply means more thought is put into wearing it!
So what are the key things to remember when shopping for jumpsuits as a petite?
- (No brainer) Filter search to petite sizes only – Haha ok that isn’t really a trick but really is my step 1.
- For regular jumpsuits, look for cropped or ankle length. P.s. cropped on normal people equals great length for the shorter ones!
- Cinching around the waist area creates an illusion of a length. In addition a relaxed jumpsuit may look overly boxy on a petite, and hence tying the middle prevents that.
- Go for fun neck details. The classic petite trick still stays — try not to cover the neck area as much. I love square necks, deep v-necks, and even off the shoulders.
- Heels! Particularly pointed toes do the job in creating the illusion of length.
- Wear it, own it, and flaunt it!

I love that blue jumpdress! Great tips, I’m also petite but I always wear short-jumpsuites, I think I will try and buy a jumpsuit with longer legs for the summer!
