The Birthday Edit

Happy Blog-iversary to styleandlatte!!

Wow! A year flew by fast! Fast since I’m not getting any younger. But precious nevertheless, since everyday brings new wisdom!

As my blog and I are both a year older, I’ve curated a list of ways I’m doing this year different. Read along!

1. Take it easy – Prepare for the worst, yet hope for the best.

2. I can’t please everyone – My biggest weakness is that I care too much. Wait, don’t judge yet – notice my emphasis on ‘too much’? Finding the right balance and not being scared of the consequences to my actions is key.

3. When it comes to my body – I will love it and help it reach its best version, and NOT expect it to look how it never will.

4. Consistency – My lack of attention has been my kryptonite. So taking baby steps and finding creative ways to motivate myself will be helpful in so many levels.

5. Keep it simple – Less clutter, less plans and less overthinking! Added bonus – less anxiety!

6. Meditate and self-education – Finally get myself to focus on myself and help me be the best version of me. I want to learn how to prioritize these exercises into my daily or weekly routine in order to reap the full benefits.

6. It’s good to have options, but too many can get overwhelming – Should I go back to school or pursue my dreams? They both have pros and cons. Maybe thinking and planning are getting overrated. How about executing? That’s the way to be!

7. Skincare – There’s nothing more gorgeous than pretty bare skin. I aspire to be that woman who walks out with just an SPF and lip balm (ooh and of course with eyebrows done!). And with age comes the desire to fulfill that aspiration. Time to get more frequent facials, drink more water and less junk for a naturally glowing skin.

8. SLEEEEEP – My close friends know exactly what I’m talking about. I hardly sleep , which is a complete no no if you’re trying to not just be healthy, but a more productive person.

9. Hold myself accountable – If I screw up, I should address why I did. Learning from mistakes or good accomplishments help with future actions.

10. Don’t regret what I haven’t done, celebrate what I have done!

Hope you had a good read. A year older or not, coffee has no age limit- so enjoy it! xoxo

It’s so true you can’t please everyone. It’s always good to hear other opinions, but it’s you who is the most important!!

  2. Let me start with a happy birthday wishes! Wish you all the best. I know exactly what you mean when you say that too many options are terrible sometimes. I wonder how it happens, at times I can go to a small store and buy everything I need and sometimes I got to the entire shopping mall and can’t choose even one piece!

  3. SO on point dear. Indeed we all want to be liked, it’s human nature. However, that is not how to world works. Once you start caring less about other people’s opinion of you, you’ll be happier. Anyway, looking fabulous as always dear! Love the skirt, so elegant with a sexy slit!

  4. I think that my I still need to learn to hold myself accountable. I still have the tendency to blame others at least for the first while, then I start thinking that maybe it was my fault.
But anyway, you have got great tips going on here.
