I’m actually torn––do I like prints or not? I love thriving in neutrals, but there’s something about florals that sets the tone for Spring and Summer. To sum it up, it makes you go “hey I look like I’m happy and cute. But not over the top––just happy.” In all honesty, this Zara dress (pictured) did catch my eye––but I went “wow” only after putting it on! You know when something makes you feel, and look, amazing? That’s this dress. I call it “my Summer vibe” in a dress. Accurate, right?
But why are florals so great for Summer?
Well, it simply comes down to the universal concept of flowers sparking “happiness” in our minds. On top of that, whether you’re a minimalist or maximalist (or somewhere in between)–– floral prints serve all. From a ‘go-getter’ running around the city to the ‘cottagecore’ lover frolicking in nature––there’s something for everyone.
Notice when you shop for a simple floral dress, there are several thoughts attached to the process:
- The colors.
- The flowers in question.
- The size of flowers.
- The amount of flowers–are they clustered or spaced out?
- The design
And the list goes on!
Bottom line––the florals we choose determine the mood we’re in, or want to be in. Wow––that’s a brilliant observation, isn’t it?
