My visit to the newly reopened Bed Bath & Beyond

We all know that one store that comes to mind when a specific topic is being discussed. When I think about home decor and other household necessities, Bed Bath & Beyond is one store that instantly comes to mind. When I was little, my mother used to take me there and look at things she needed (and didn’t need). So when I found out about collaborating with them, I texted my mother to see how excited she would get. She instantly started making a list!

Back to the topic, I had the pleasure to check out the newly reopened Bed Bath & Beyond in Humble, TX. This store was completely renovated and recently reopened almost a year after being badly affected by Hurricane Harvey last year.

Upon entering the store, the new theme and features are very apparent. The new store is very spacious, the layout very open and clutter-free, and the lighting quite bright. Other features include:

1. Virtual bedding – where you can put on the bedding pieces on the display bed and see how it looks for a better idea before purchasing.

2. Store specific prices – discount prices, which are exclusive to this location only.

3. ‘As Is’ products – final sale items which are sold as is and most likely would be one piece.

4. Locally sourced products – this is a cool concept, where they display and sell products made by local vendors. Amazing way to support local small businesses!

5. Seasonal section – a huge section for seasonal stuff. Right now they had Fall and Halloween items.

6. Furniture displays – dining table, sofa sets, beds etc which you can decorate with accessories of your choice, so you can visualize how it would look before purchasing.

7. Wedding Registry room – the store has not just a section, it’s a small room by the entrance of the store just for wedding registry. Here they have displays of wedding related items, computers to order registry and a consultant provided upon request.

8.Department store area – it was one of the best new additions. They carried all the necessary products, which a departmental store carries – dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, deodorant, makeup, shampoo, conditioner and they even carry a lot of the salon brands. So convenient for shoppers!

9. Coffee area – this was the best addition in the store. Being a coffee addict, this area seemed like heaven for me. They had all the coffee machines and Keurigs on display, so you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee, while deciding on which coffee maker to buy. It’s also perfect for all those men who don’t enjoy shopping but came only for their wives.

I had a really amazing time visiting the Bed Bath & Beyond. Such a beautiful store. It felt great to see the spirit amongst the people there, whether it’s the staff or customers. Even after the tragic event they all went through in the form of Hurricane Harvey, they have made a comeback and as a much improved version. Most importantly, they didn’t let this tragedy take away their spirit!
