A huge part of traveling is to find the right place to live. There is a fine balance between hotels and AirBnb. I didn’t know how cool it could be if you mesh both concepts together. So when Stay Alfred reached out offering two nights for a lovely staycation in downtown Houston, I was beyond excited!
The place I stayed was a luxury apartment in the heart of Downtown Houston. See that’s how Stay Alfred works – they provide vacation rentals within local luxury apartments or condos in the heart of the city. For me that’s perfect, because when I visit a new city, sometimes I like to enjoy the whole local experience. They even fill your groceries ahead of time, according to what’s specified.
Firstly, the directions sent to me were very clear and to the point. The staff were extremely prompt and responsive with their correspondence. During my check-in day, I walked into the lobby to grab my keys from the key cafe (key box), parked my car in the garage and went up to my room.
My apartment came with two spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms. On top of that the kitchen came fully accessorized with (you know how important that is to me) a good supply of coffee and water. The kitchen contained all the necessary utensils to make your stay comfortable. It’s perfect if you are the kind of person who likes to cook up some fresh meal and not eat out all the time during your stay!
The keys will give you access to everything, including amenities like pool and gym. What I loved most is the fact that I felt like a local there, without actually living in that apartment complex!
Overall my experience was beyond wonderful. Not only will I highly recommend Stay Alfred to my friends, I myself will be looking them up next time I travel to a different city!
Please note: While this staycation was hosted by Stay Alfred, the opinions I hold in my post are completely my own.
What a wonderful experience. It always makes it so much better when things are good like this!!

It’s a great place! Love my stay! xo
This pretty much sounds like the best of both worlds! The thing I struggle with on staying at AirB&B’s is having to either bring or buy food. And staying at hotels, you end up never really eating that healthy. But having a pre-stocked grocery service sounds like a fantastic solution. And really, it sounds like all white glove service – fantastic! Thanks for introducing me to this!

I absolutely agree with what you said. It’s a great way to experience actually living in the city as a local. Hope you get to try them some time! xo
