I often think if I’m either a master procrastinator or I just don’t like to plan my outfits ahead. But then again July 4th is one of those days you do not want to be seen without your patriotic colors. I mean America has made it simple for us – red white and blue. The most standard colors that are guaranteed to be in our closets.
Referring back to my habit of waiting till the last minute, I whipped up some last minute outfits from what I already had in my closet.
In all fairness, outfits should be brand new – clothes can stay the same!
Trick # 1: White pants and red shoes. Those two are life savers. Red shoes are much more available than either navy or white so I keep one by my side. White pants are no brainers, easy in adding a white background to any outfit picture I paint.
Trick # 2: Navy gingham prints are amazing in adding the white and blue pallets in any outfits, solving 66% of the equation. Throw in a plain red shirt and you are all set for forth of July!
Trick # 3: Throw in a bandana, preferably the color less dominating in the outfit. Pair it up with a red and white shirt, you have a cool f orth of July outfit! White shoes are always a plus for me– a keeper when I find a multi-tasking and cute pair.
Trick # 4: Red lips! When nothing else can accommodate the red, I bring in makeup. I’m not big on eyeshadows, but if I were, I can see myself doing blue eyes.
Trick # 5: Your best accessory – the flag! I try reusing all my solid colored dresses, and this is one of my favorites. Add a bandana and I have a classy and appropriate outfit!
Perfect and done! See it’s never too late. Now finish your coffee and enjoy the celebrations. Happy 4th of July!! 🇺🇸
