I love wearing dresses.
Dresses honestly serve many purposes. From fat-days to fancy days they are always by our side. Dresses are so versatile, they can be easily paired with almost anything and still look beautiful and classy!
These are a few dresses I have been loving recently. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably come across them.
1. Classic shirt-dress:
This dress was picked up because I was instantly drawn to the color and sleeves. Fun fact about me – if I can find a dress with sleeves, I have to get it! I always wear a petite in Banana Republic, but this one was a regular. The dress being a shirt-dress I didn’t want it to hug my body too much. The waist tie makes all the difference in creating an illusion of a defined curve (yay…me for the win!)

2. Off-the Shoulder
The hot thing this Summer and my latest addiction: off-the shoulder anything! Again, if you guys know me you’d know I’m a sucker for this hot style. There’s something about this design that says sexy without being too revealing. When I came across this particular number at Romwe, that too in Navy (my safe color), I had to get it. The feature I loved the most was the layer on top. It makes it so much more fun and takes attention away from my goodies or any ill-fitted bra I might be wearing (I’ve been guilty of that before).
One thing to note though, I am 4’10” and purchased a small, but this particular dress landed way above my knees. I’m not sure how it’ll serve a tall person or even someone who is average in height.

3. Cold-Shoulder LBD
LBD is my safe-haven. Cold shoulder dresses are the coolest thing that emerged this year. So naturally both combined would be more than what my excited brain can handle. That’s all!
This particular dress from Romwe runs really big, and is a straight shift dress. I found an ignored waist belt from one of my vests (making sure its skinny enough to tie) and created an illusion of a cinched waist. I realized that it not only creates a curve but elongates the torso (perfect for petites like me struggling with miniature torso).
