Coat Obsession

If you have been following me, you probably know my love for layering. And with record low temperatures this winter, what better way to layer than with a coat. Coats are a staple in my winter wardrobe, as I am sure is with many of you. They are timeless, classy and so versatile!

As we bid our farewell to winter and prepare for spring, I would like to share some of my favorite coats this season and how I styled them.

1. The Black Coat: No matter what your style is, you have to own a black coat for your winter wardrobe. Black coats are timeless. Whether it is a black long coat or a peacoat, they can be layered on top of any kind of clothing, be it a dress, sweater, turtle neck or any other top. They look great with everything and because it’s black, it complements any color.

2. The Blue Coat: Lately I have been obsessed with the color blue. Second to black, it is minimalistic and so chic. Also it really complements my hair so well. These two navy coats have been my favorites this winter. Whether you want to wear to work or just go out for bruch with your girlfriends, this is your coat!

3. The Camel Coat: If you feel that there are too many dark colored coats in your closet and you want something of a lighter tone, then camel is your color.. It is a very neutral color and like its black and blue counterparts, it looks very chic. As you can tell from the pictures below, I am obsessed with camel and black combination. I think it’s such a classic! So I have styled two of my favorite camel coats with a black outfit.

4. The Plaid Overcoat: Now if you are bored of all your neutral colored coats and want something more fun and bold, then you need a plaid coat. Plaid has long been used on blazers and suit jackets, but is a new addition to the coat family. Plaid coats are very bold and trendy, but still looks very classy.

5. The Black & Gold Coat: One of my most favorite coat this winter, this black coat with gold details look so elegant and feminine. This is the perfect coat to wear to date nights, parties or just a simple night out. Love the beautiful details on it and love how it gives a pretty copper tint from far away and in photos!
